Mr. Carter completed Combined Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Development degree from Huron University College in London, Ontario. He continues his education through the completion of certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Financial Modeling and Valuation (FMV). He's also co-written important material on microgrid design and testing, showing his depth of knowledge in the field.

Mr. Carter is a mentor in the 20/20 Catalysts Program, helping Indigenous clean energy projects, is an advisor for various governmental energy initiatives. Additionally, he manages Carter Farm in Norval, Ontario, and combines this background to provide unique insight as a founder of the not-for-profit, Agrivoltaics Canada and the Solar and Sustainable Energy Society of Canada charitable organization.
